PromoStandards Gives You the Data. Trelium Makes It Easy to Use.

PromoStandards gives promotional-products teams valuable supplier data, but building and maintaining integrations is hard. Trelium turns underused endpoints into everyday workflows across quoting, purchase orders, status updates, tracking, and invoice matching.

PromoStandards gives the promotional-products industry a powerful foundation. The hard part is turning those connections into workflows people actually use every day.

PromoStandards gives teams a shared way to exchange product data, inventory, pricing, purchase orders, order status, shipment notices, invoices, compliance information, and more. But access to an endpoint is not the same as a working integration, and a working integration is not the same as an automated workflow.

The Data Exists. The Workflow Often Does Not.

For distributors, receiving PromoStandards credentials from a supplier is only the starting line. The team still has to make that data usable inside the tools where work happens every day. Inventory needs to appear before a quote is sent. Tracking needs to update an order and become a customer reply. Invoice data needs to be checked against the original purchase order.

That is where PromoStandards projects get difficult. Someone has to connect each system, map fields between supplier data and internal records, handle credentials, define business rules, test exceptions, and maintain the workflow as suppliers, products, and internal systems change. With many suppliers, that work repeats again and again.

The result is that many teams never use PromoStandards to its full potential. They may use one service for a lookup, or rely on a custom integration for one narrow workflow, while the rest of the data still sits behind endpoints that most employees never touch.

Suppliers face the other side of the same problem. They may have invested in making data available, yet their teams still receive questions about stock, product details, order status, and tracking. The endpoint is ready, but the distributor's inbox, ERP, or order-management system may not know when to call it or what to do with the answer. PromoStandards itself highlights reducing these routine calls and emails as one of the benefits of digital integration.

Why Building PromoStandards Workflows Is Hard

Take a simple request: "Where is my order?" The supplier may already support Order Status or Shipment Notification. But a useful workflow still needs to read the incoming message, identify the right customer and order, match the supplier reference, send the request, interpret the response, update the internal record, prepare a reply, and handle anything that does not line up.

The same challenge appears in quoting, purchase orders, and invoice matching. The difficult part is not only calling an endpoint. It is deciding when to call it, what internal context is required, how the response maps back into the business system, what should happen next, and when a person needs to review an exception.

That is why many PromoStandards integrations stall after the first project. Each new supplier or workflow can mean more developer time, more implementation cost, more testing, and more long-term maintenance. The data exists, but the operational value remains locked behind integration work.

Trelium changes where the project starts. Instead of beginning with an endpoint, the team begins with the outcome it wants: check inventory before a quote is sent, submit a supplier PO after approval, answer tracking questions, or match an invoice with its PO.

Trelium Is the Agentic Layer

Workflow Architecture

Email, CRM, ERP, OMS, and accounting systems -> Trelium -> PromoStandards endpoints -> supplier systems

Trelium does not replace PromoStandards or the endpoints suppliers have built. It sits between those endpoints and the tools where people work. The agent understands the request, gathers context from the business systems, uses the right service, checks the result, completes the next step, and brings in a person when something is unclear.

Trelium agents are designed to complete operational work across email, order-management systems, spreadsheets, and other business tools, rather than simply transfer data from one field to another.

WorkflowScenarioTraditional IntegrationTrelium
QuotingA rep needs 250 polos with confirmed stock and pricing.Returns data for known product IDs.Gathers the data, flags unavailable options, and prepares a review-ready quote.
Purchase ordersAn approved order must be sent to a supplier.Sends a PO when all fields are ready.Checks details, gets approval, submits the PO, and updates the order.
Status and trackingA customer asks, "Where is PO 45873?"Returns data for the supplied reference.Finds the order, retrieves the update, updates internal systems, and prepares the reply.
Invoice matchingAn invoice must be checked against its PO.Imports or transfers invoice data.Finds the PO, compares key fields, and sends discrepancies to the AP team.

A traditional integration returns data in a predefined way. Trelium understands why the data is needed and uses it to complete the work around it. That is the difference between having PromoStandards access and actually using PromoStandards as part of daily operations.

Faster to Launch, Easier to Manage, and Less Expensive to Expand

For distributors, this means less time waiting on a development backlog. One agentic layer can support multiple systems, suppliers, and workflows, reducing repeated implementation work and helping teams launch faster.

For suppliers, it means getting more value from the endpoints they already provide. More routine questions and transactions can be handled through the available data, without building a separate custom workflow for every distributor.

Trelium works with the tools already in place, so teams do not need to replace their ERP, CRM, OMS, accounting platform, or inbox. That makes implementation easier, lowers the cost of getting started, and reduces maintenance as the workflow grows.

PromoStandards connects the data. Trelium is the agentic layer that turns it into completed work.
